HortisUSA LLC was founded in 2007 by 3 partners, each with more than 10 years experience in the fields of intellectual property rights in horticulture and new plant introduction. 

This combined expertise gives HortisUSA the unique opportunity to work in all major markets, with the widest variety of plant material, propagators and growers.  This network lmeans greater exposure and efficiency in managing new varieties.

Finally, HortisUSA is committed to offering a choice to breeders.  Our services are offered independent from each other.  Breeders may file plant patents or plant breeders' rights through Hortis with no obligation to license through our network.  Additionally, each license contract is reviewed an offered on a case by case basis.
